Our partners attest to our products outstanding quality and strong market potential.

Spirulina

Spirulina: Composition
Spirulina is a very complex microorganism. It has a high nutritional value, which can help to prevent nutrient various deficiencies. With up to 70%, it contains extremely high amounts of proteins. Spirulina is also rich in essential fatty acids, trace elements, mineral nutrients: Iron, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, sodium, chromium, as well as essential amino acids. Spirulina also contains vitamins A, several B vitamins, D, E and K, as well as beta-carotene (provitamin A) and vitamin B12, which is iéspecially interesting for the vegan community.  It has a large quantity of Phycocyanin, which plays a cleansing, and cell stress reducing role in the body. Spirulina contains several elements that are necessary for the healthy functioning of the immune and nervous systems. Based on its extremely rich composition, spirulina is also ideal for fighting malnutrition worldwide.

Spirulina: Effects, Uses, Benefits
Spirulina is recommended particularly for athletes to prevent muscle cramps and fatigue. Thanks to its rich composition, spirulina is highly effective in protecting the body, stimulating the immune system and detoxing the body of heavy metals and other toxins. It is often used in combination with chlorella as a detox treatment method. Spirulina is also very useful in fighting high cholesterol and diabetes, and can help to control blood glucose. Spirulina is reported to be highly effective in combating anaemia. Lastly, spirulina showed to be very useful as part of a diet, because it helps to better manage hunger. In any case, spirulina is an extremely rich complete microorganism that is perfectly suited for providing basic nutritional components. For example, the Aztecs and Incas cultivated blue-green spirulina algae to provide a healthy food source for their large populations.

Chlorella

Chlorella: Composition
Chlorella, an ubiquitous fresh water microalgae is extremely rich in nutrients. It contains proteins (up to 58% of its weight), 18 amino acids, vitamins A, B, C and E as well as B12. Chlorella is rich in essential fatty acids such as Omega-3 and contains a large number of minerals: iron, calcium, magnesium, zinc, potassium, sulfur, manganese. In addition, chlorella is extremely rich in chlorophyll, and chlorophyll plays an important role in detoxification and cleansing of the body. Chlorophyll is an excellent source of organic magnesium. In short, chlorella is a great nutritional supplement.

Chlorella: Effects, Uses, Benefits
Chlorella is highly recommended for cleansing the body specifically of toxins, for detoxification of organs, and to strengthen the immune system. Its effects are multiplied when consumed in combination with spirulina.

Omega-3 Algae

Effects, Uses, Benefits
ecoduna cultivates some very potent Omega-3 algae strains, which are producing high quantities of PUFAs, especially EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid). EPA is an essential Omega3 fatty acid that is needed to protect the heart, prevent dementia, prevent thrombosis and cardiovascular diseases, reduce inflammation, protect eyes, help against depression and much more. Daily recommended intake of EPA and DHA is 200-400mg.

In vegetable oil regarded as Omega-3 fatty acid sources, such as linseed oil, walnut oil or hemp oil, only the Omega-3 fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) is present. ALA is regarded as the precursor molecule of EPA and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Conversion rate of ALA in the human body is very limited. Conversion depends on many factors like micronutrients or health state. Thus EPA/DHA are regarded as essential fatty acids, which can only be directly produced by micro algae. There is a vegan product, which fully can meet the demand of biologically active EPA and other polyunsaturated fatty acids: ecoduna algal oil is purely vegan and still contains the valuable active Omega-3 fatty acid EPA.
